Retro Clean is the gentle solution for safely removing tough stains, quite often thought to be permanent, from all washable fabrics. It lifts stains related to water and smoke damage, mold, coffee, wine, blood, nicotine, babies, pets, and perspiration. It will also remove yellow and brown age stains from vintage fabrics (laces, linens, quilts, tablecloths, clothing, wedding dresses, etc.) and leave your fabric with renewed color and vitality.

Directions:

Always check items for colorfastness prior to starting. Then wash and rinse items to be treated to remove any surface dirt. Hand washing is best for vintage and delicate projects. We recommend Retro Wash laundry powder for all your hand washing needs, as well as everyday machine washing.

Dissolve 3-4 tablespoons of Retro Clean granules in each gallon of warm water. Make enough solution to completely submerge the items. Soak for up to 48 hours, depending on the degree of staining. Soak in the sunshine, if possible (it helps keep the water warm), to speed up the process. Check and stir periodically. Make sure that your items remain submerged throughout the process. Wash and rinse your items again after soaking to remove any residue left behind.
