Beginning Quilting-For the very beginner to learn the basics of fabric selection, rotary cutting, strip piecing, making blocks, and adding borders.  Each month a new class starts and meets for 4  Mon. nights. Clothesline Club— Janelle leads Darlene Zimmerman’s fun club that celebrates fabrics from the 30’s.  Receive a pattern each month, share show n’ tell of items from the era  Meets first Mon. at 6pm, $10 annual fee. 
 
Contemporary Quilters- This group meets 1st Tuesdays at 6:30pm.  It is a self directed group which explores quilting from an contemporary point of view.  Members choose topics and direction the group will take.  Marny, Jill , April and Jan from the shop are members of this group. No charge. 
 
Crossed Canoes-Another tablerunner from the book, Mostly Tablerunners Three.  Uses easy paper piecing techniques which Janelle will show you.  Thurs., Nov 6 and 13, 6:30, $20 includes paper foundation.  Book required. 
 
Free Motion Machine Quilting- Lisa shares tips and techniques on using your own sewing machine to do freemotion quilting.  Must be able to lower the feed dogs on your sewing machine.  You will be using practice pieces that you bring to work on in class ,  Sat., Sept 27, 1-3:30, $15 + stencil. Lisa 
 
Hand Quilting- A beginner’s hand quilting class, includes discussion and selection of supplies (needles, batting, thread, thimbles, etc.), preparing your quilt, and finally actually performing the “rocking stitch” used in traditional hand quilting.  You will  practice on a plain muslin quilt sandwich to learn and improve your quilting stitch , Thurs. Oct 13, 6:30-9 and Oct 30, 6:30-7:30. $20  Kelly 
 
Intermediate Paper Piecing-Many of you have admired more difficult paper pieced quilts such as those designed by Judy Neimeyer.  They look stunning, they look HARD! April has made several of these quilts and will help you do one practice block to show you they are do-able.  This may be the “push” you need to get you started on the masterpiece you have been avoiding.  Bring in the pattern you will be doing to show us, but in the class we will all do the same block. Jo’s Club— For those who love Civil War era fabrics.   Each month receive a pattern for one of Jo Morton’s small quilts. Share  show n’ tell of old quilts, family heirlooms, estate finds.  7pm last Monday of month.  $3 per month. 
 
Machine Applique-Janelle shows how to use your sewing machine to do blanket stitch and satin stitch appliqué.  Learn the techniques and be able to embellish clothing, seasonal towels, bibs and more! Thurs., Oct. 2, 6:30,  $18 fee includes fabrics, stabilizers, and adhesive for stitching samples.  Bring thread, please. 
 
MegaQuilter Group-Meet with other MegaQuilter and/or QBot owners to share the quilts you have quilted, ask questions and lend support.  Meets 2nd Thursday at 6pm.  No charge. 
 
Mini Retreat-Bring your own project and sew all day Friday and Saturday, the 3rd weekend of the month. $20 fee includes pizza Friday night and part of your Saturday lunch fee.  Often a full room! 
 
Rug-Bee Club-A continuing club that to make any of “Aunt Philly’s Toothbrush rug” patterns. First-timers pay $10 to learn the basics of this fun technique (using your fabrics or ours), while repeat members pay $5 to work on their rugs, ask questions, share ideas, and socialize.  Pattern purchase is required ($8.25).  Starter kits available ($4) for those who wish to try the process without commitment! Saturday Sew N Sew— Are you working on a project and need a little help, but not a whole “class”?  Bring your project and spend the day with Kelly as she helps you get over the hurdle that has you stumped, the block you can’t figure out, the question you need answered.  Then sit and sew.  This class fills quickly. Lunch is included in the $25 fee.  Sept. 13 (may be full), October 25, 10-4. 
Skill Builders-Once you have completed our Beginning Class, you may wish to join us monthly for “continuing education.”  We’ll be learning more advanced techniques on the 4th Thurs. of each month at 6:30pm  Sept. 25 is Log Cabin , Oct. 23 is 1/2 Square Triangles Class fee is $15 and includes small fabric kit..  Kelly 
 
Stash Pot Pie-Kate leads this Sunday afternoon monthly group that helps you use your scraps in great quilts.  $10 fee includes a pattern each month.  Sew from Noon-4pm  Sept. 21,  Oct. 19,  Nov.16.  No Dec. class.

World Piece-Kelly’s written the pattern and simplified the piecing in this “trip around the world” block arrangement that makes a stunning quilt.  You will learn the piecing technique and make two blocks in one quick process.  Intermediate level. $25 class fee includes lunch.  Pattern needed.
