Clubs
Clothesline Club
Join Janelle in a celebration of 1930’s reproduction fabrics and patterns designed by Darlene Zimmerman. Each month you will receive a free pattern, as well as show and tell and social time. You don’t even have to like the fabrics to be a member (there are several imposters in the club)! It’s just a lot of fun, and a great place to meet other quilters and make new friends in an informal setting.
Fee: $12 per year
Date: First Monday of each month at 6pm
Prairie Women’s Sewing Circle
Pam Buda’s program, gathering as the prairie women did, hearing stories about the lives of the women on the Oregon Trail, quilting during the Civil war, and the women's suffrage movement for equal rights. You will learn about "make do" quilts and you will have the option to participate in "make do" practices as you complete your projects. Of course, we'll have the usual social time, as well as show and tell too. Each month you will receive a small reproduction quilt pattern, along with helpful hints and ideas to incorporate into your quilts. Cathy Sanders will be leading the circle. Pre-registration is required.
Fee: $42 for six month program
Date: Second Monday of each month at 6:30pm, starting February 14th.
Party with Patrick
Join Cathy as the hostess of Patrick’s Party, celebrating his designs and fabrics. You will receive a free pattern each month designed by Patrick Lose. These are simple, lighthearted projects often seasonal in nature, using fusible machine applique. There are also machine embroidery designs available each month for a small fee. Join us! Please pre-register so we can have enough copies of the pattern.
Status: On hiatus until Fall 2011
Viking Club
Meets the 1st Wednesday of every month from 6-8pm. This club is free to anyone who has purchased any Husqvarna Viking sewing machine from Quilting Connection. We explore different features of your sewing machine including decorative stitches, stitch programming, and accessory feet by doing quick projects.
